A training session on introduction to Windows Phone 7 from developers' perspective was held at the Islamabad office. The speaker, Mr. Ali Sufyan (Microsoft Community Trainer) explained and demonstrated the features of Windows Phone 7, and its collaboration with existing Microsoft applications like SharePoint, Great Plains, which target the ISVs. A new evolving UI, that is simpler and more productive, called "METRO UI" was also shown, which is also going to be the UI for Windows 8.
Windows Marketplace, where developers can showcase their work and sell their ideas was discussed. The attendees were shown some sample applications, the speaker explaining how development in Windows Phone 7 would be a much easier task for developers than before.
